For May 2020’s #ProjectHealthViz, Tableau Zen Master, Linsday Betzendahl has challenged us to take a look at the historical stock performance of Teladoc Inc. Teladoc is the leading virtual health network of providers who offer phone & virtual office visits for patients.

For my analytic, I chose to focus on their stock performance since the COVID-19 pandemic sent shockwaves through the health care industry. In particular, Medicare decided to immediately expand coverage for all beneficiaries for telehealth visits.

What this means is that for nearly 44 million individuals, they can continue to get their, in many case, much needed regular checkups.

TelaDoc is not the only player in the telehealth market but their performance during this unprecedented time can offer a glimpse into future of health care.
